Continue reading below to learn more about private walking tours and private vehicle tours we can provide lasting anywhere from two hours to a full day. We customize tours to match your interests.
Short Private Tours
The shorter private tours lasting about two hours are for visitors who want a private introduction to either the attractions in and around downtown San Diego (Coronado, Balboa Park, Sunset Cliffs, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter) or the amazingly beautiful coastal area of La Jolla and Torrey Pines. We often serve tour guests who visit San Diego year-after-year so don’t let the concept of an ‘introduction’ dissuade you since we always open visitors’ eyes to many scenic view points and fascinating historical facts they had never seen or learned on their previous visits. We can provide descriptions on what to expect at various locations around San Diego so you can get ideas on what you would like to see and we’ll customize it from there.
We will either join guests in their own car or we will arrange transportation in a town car, SUV, or Mercedes Sprinter van depending on your needs.
Walking Tours of La Jolla
Guests typically join us for a two hour walking tour that will provide an introduction to the seals, sea lions, pelicans, and cormorants that live along the La Jolla coastline. Along the way, we will visit postcard perfect, scenic viewpoints that most people do not realize exist. We’ll learn about the pioneering women who shaped La Jolla into the vibrant community it has become today. We’ll also learn about some of fascinating history of national significance that has taken place in the area.
We’ll give you an introduction to the shops and art galleries in the Village. We can answer any questions you have about La Jolla or the greater San Diego area. We’ll also provide you an area map, visitor guide, and other resources to help you make the most of your visit to La Jolla.
Half or Full Day Private Tour of San Diego
Join us for an in-depth tour of San Diego. We can provide the same five-hour Coastal Tour we provide to the public. We can add in a visit to Cabrillo National Monument, drive up the coast to Solana Beach and Oceanside or head east into our mountains and desert to visit places like Julian and Borrego Springs.
If there are particular interests you would like to explore in-depth, such as birding, we can help arrange for experts in those areas.
Generally, the cost for a tour starts at about $200, not including transportation. It all depend on the size of the party, level of advance planning needed by the client, length of time and transportation needs. Let us help make sure you have a wonderful time in San Diego.
