Reviews from San Diego Group Tour Clients

It is us who can’t say “THANK YOU” too many times and in too many different languages. Everyone came back just expressing what a wonderful time they had and how great you were and that the tour was so exciting!!!! … I, for one Tim, am so appreciative for all you did to help us be a success and in no small part your La Jolla tour was a huge contributor to the “WOW” factor of what makes San Diego so special.” – DeeAnn Snyder, Director of Convention Services for the San Diego Convention Center following a tour I provided to an international association of convention center executives and their spouses.

“As a meeting planner, I have booked and been on tours all over the country. Tim was one of the best tour guides that I have worked with anywhere. He was a pleasure to work with during the planning stages. Once we were onsite at our hotel, he showed up early for the tour and had everything ready to go for my group when they arrived. We stayed on schedule throughout the entire day, but never felt rushed or like we were anywhere for too long. Tim provided interesting and entertaining information and facts the entire trip. One thing I really appreciated, was the map he provided my group that included our meeting spot and the time to meet to catch the bus home. For those individuals who wanted to explore on their own, the map made it very easy to find their way around and get back on time. We never had to search for any lost attendees. We’ve gotten great feedback from our group and I was very pleased with the entire experience. I would definitely recommend Tim and use him again next time we are in San Diego. ” – Teri Ditsch, Group Services Manager for Blue Hawk following a tour provided to owners of HVAC companies across the United States.

Guided walking tour stop at La Jolla Cove

We enjoy providing bus tours that include walking tours at various scenic stops. As part of a San Diego City Tour, we generally recommend including stops in La Jolla and Torrey Pines, which offer the best scenery in San Diego as well as the opportunity to see up close the seals, sea lions, pelicans, and cormorants that play along the beaches in La Jolla. This provides a nice variety for groups who’ve been to San Diego before and have already seen many of the attractions in and around downtown San Diego, such as Balboa Park, Coronado, and Old Town. We can provide you descriptions of what guests can expect at locations throughout San Diego to help you make the ideal plans for your group. For whatever you have in mind, we will put together an itinerary for you to review and we are happy to make adjustments even on the day of the tour to make sure guests have a wonderful experience in San Diego.

We can also arrange for meals and tours of specific attractions like the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Salk Institute as part of the sightseeing tour.

Bus Charter

We partner with bus companies in San Diego to provide the professional driver and a variety of charter buses for our tours. This give us the flexibility to provide a bus that fits your group’s size and needs. Also, because of our regular use of charter buses for our public tours, we are able to obtain charters at lower rates and incorporate that into the simple one-stop pricing we’ll offer as part of your tour package.

Step-on Tour Guide

If you have already arranged your bus, we can serve as your step-on guide. If we are not available or if you have special requirements for your guide, such as the need to speak a foreign language or have expertise in birding or other focused topic, we can arrange that for you as well.

“Best TourGuide You’ll Find. TourGuideTim lead us on a very well planned trip around San Diego and La Jolla on the only day it had rained in a while! He’s only been in the area for 10+ years but knows a tremendous amount about the area. We were having a business meeting in La Jolla, and wanted something fun to do while we were there. We loaded on the bus while it was still sunny and not even 5 minutes into the tour the rain started. Tim was prepared with yellow umbrellas! Needless to say the route got changed and the plans were rearranged, but everyone loved the tour!!!!” – Meeting for vendors to the Boy Scouts of America

“Just a quick note to thank you, on behalf of all the ISWNE folks on the tour last Friday, for providing a great introduction to San Diego! The proof of that was that people went back to places you had taken us…Everyone on the tour went out of their way to tell me how much they enjoyed it, and how much they appreciated your approach to it and the amount of information you had available, both in general and in response to questions. Thanks again for a very well done job!” – Dave Gordon on behalf of the Board of Directors for the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors.

Thank you to the nearly 6,000 tourists from around the world who joined me on the San Diego Coastal Tour to La Jolla and Torrey Pines and making it TripAdvisor's top rated bus and walking tour in San Diego. I had a blast taking you to see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world while sharing stories about the smart, wealthy, artistic, innovative, and athletic people the area has attracted ever since its beginning as the 1st settlement on the West Coast and the impact their ideas have made on the world. My favorite part was watching and hearing guests say 'Wow'! San Diego has so much more than anyone ever expects. I'm glad to have played a part in helping to open people's eyes to what makes San Diego such a special place. It is nice to see San Diego starting to get some of recognition it deserves in the media, such as National Geographic naming it one of the Smart Cities of the World. Now it is time for me to move on to other challenges but I leave to you this in-depth travel guide for San Diego so you can create your own adventure. Happy Travels! -TourGuideTim
