Views from Mount Soledad
Mount Soledad is one of the highest points along the Southern California coast. It provides panoramic views looking out over La Jolla, the Pacific Ocean, and the greater San Diego area. It is also home to a veterans memorial with picture plaques highlighting the service records of veterans including Ronald Reagan, Harry Truman, George Patton, and Jimmy Stewart.

Most visitors never figure out how to find Soledad Natural Park to enjoy the views. However, you will get to enjoy it when you take a La Jolla sightseeing tour with TourGuideTim Theme Based Travel and Tours.

Tours leave from downtown San Diego every day (except Sundays) at Noon. The first stop is Mount Soledad where visitors will get about 20 minutes to enjoy the views and take pictures. Your expert tour guide will point out interesting things to look for in the distance, explain what helped create the amazing landscape of San Diego, and help you find the picture plaques of famous veterans.

Soledad Bike Plunge
TourGuideTim has partnered with Hike Bike Kayak, which provides a 2 hour guided bike tour from the top of Mount Soledad (822 feet above sea level) down to the Village of La Jolla and continues through the local beach communities before ending in La Jolla Shores.

Guests of TourGuideTim can depart the guided bus tour at Mount Soledad to take part in the Soledad Plunge. Guests will then be picked up in La Jolla Shores for the return trip along the La Jolla coastline to San Diego. Price: $81 includes sightseeing bus tour and Soledad Plunge. Book your reservation now!
