Nearby Attractions – Consider a quick stop at the Cupa Cultural Center on the Pala Reservation to learn about the Cupeno Trail of Tears that took place when local Indians were evicted from their ancestral home in 1903 after losing a battle in the U.S. Supreme Court.  Another suggestion is to visit local California tourmaline mines, which are popular for attracting museum curators, jewelers, and rockhounds from around the world.
