Bernardo Winery & Shopping Village Highlights: The Bernardo Winery has been serving wine lovers for over 100 years. Guests experience much more than wine tasting in this quaint shopping village tucked behind an upscale community. In addition to lunches and weekend breakfast, Cafe Merlot offers Wine Pairing events, Cooking Classes, and Chef Demonstrations. What to Expect

  • The atmosphere is laid back. It is rarely crowded. You will see a mix of casual to business-casual attire. It can get hot occasionally during the summer so dress appropriately. Check the Inland Weather Forecast.
  • If you use the Old Winery Road entrance, you will drive through a community of expensive homes to reach the Winery. You might want to consider taking a stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the distant views of Lake Hodges, Poway and the San Pasqual Valley.

Bernardo Winery Hours

  • Wine Tasting: Daily from 9AM – 5PM. (Opens at 10AM on Weekends.)
  • Cafe Merlot: Daily from 10AM – 3PM. (Opens for Breakfast on Weekends at 8:30AM.)
  • Village Shops: Most are open 10AM – 5PM except on Mondays.
  • Jazz Music on Sundays 2PM – 5PM
  • Farmers Market on Fridays 9AM – 12PM.

Information on Visiting the Bernado Winery

Directions from Google Maps to 13330 Paseo Del Verano Norte in San Diego, CA 92027. This is the main address and easiest route to reach the Winery. For those who want to drive to the back side of the Winery village, use the Google Maps for 13150 Old Winery Road. The Parking Lots, Cafe, and Wine Tasting are on the back side of the Winery. This route takes you through an upscale housing development.

Traffic – It is relatively easy to reach the Bernardo Winery during its normal hours of operation. However, you will encounter heavy traffic if you head northbound on highway I-15 after leaving the Bernardo Winery late on a weekday afternoon.

Transit – There is no transit service available to reach the Bernardo Winery.
