California Law on Casino Games Using Dice

California law requires the outcome of all games to be determined by the use of cards. Thus, visitors who have played casino games in Las Vegas involving dice will find slight variations when gambling in California. For example, Harrah’s Rincon Casino uses a traditional craps table game that starts off with the use of colored dice. The dice are used to determine which cards will be played to decide the outcome of the game. (Learn more about the California Craps variation used by Harah’s Casino.) Pala Casino uses a traditional roulette layout with the roulette wheel selecting a card to be played, which then determines the winning number. (Learn more about the California Roulette variation used by Pala Casino.)
