Museum Month – What to see at the Automotive Museum

Another participant in Macy’s Museum Month is the San Diego Automotive Museum. One of the unique vehicles to see there is a taxi that was owned by Frank Sinatra. You will also find a nice exhibit of Ford’s Model T’s since Ford was a major sponsor of the World Fairs held at Balboa Park.

If sports cars are your thing, the Automotive Museum in San Diego has on display a 1974 Lamborghini Countach, 1953 Jaguar, 1955 Porsche Spyder, 1962 Maseratti, and 1990 Ferrari Testarossa.

What I’ve mentioned here is just the tip of the iceberg. You can read more about visiting the museum in my San Diego Travel Guide.

**This post is part of a month long series highlighting unique tidbits about museums participating in the Macy’s half-off admissions sponsorship during the month of February.**
