San Diego Spas Continue to Win Nationwide Honors

by

Conde Nast Traveler announced its Top Spas for 2008. To sum up San Diego’s performance, I’ll quote the travel magazine’s lead-in, “The West is the best this year, as the most popular resorts hail from San Diego…”

Once again, San Diego is the top destination for travelers seeking the enjoyable refreshment and rejuvenation from a spa vacation. The Spa at Rancho Bernardo Inn took top honors in the country. Nationwide, it earned a perfect score for its Setting and ranked third for Programs and for Service. Those top scores along with strong showings in four other categories earned the Rancho Bernardo Inn Spa the top overall score of 91.8. The other San Diego County Spas earning high praise include the Spa at Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad and the Chopra Center at La Costa Resort & Spa, also in Carlsbad. If you don’t have a chance to pick up the latest Conde Nast Traveler, you can visit the List of Top Spas on their web site.

These honors are in addition to the top honors from the Zagat survey for the Golden Door Spa in Escondido and Hyatt’s first-in-the-nation Eco Friendly Spa in Mission Bay.

Isn’t great we don’t have to leave town to enjoy the top spas in the country! Congratulations to the aforementioned spas.
