Quality Higher Education is Cheap in San Diego

by

Have you looked at the tuition prices for four year colleges lately? The prices are astronomical.

Fortunately, the University of California, San Diego offers the sixth best value among public universities, according to the Princeton Review. Considering there are 34 public universities in California, not to mention countless others across all other 50 states, ranking 6th for the best education at a great value is quite an honor to have here in our hometown.

UC, San Diego is ranked 38th nationally by U.S. News & World Report for best education among all public and private universities. One year of tuition is just over $8,000 for in-state students and just over $19,000 for out-of-state students. This is cheaper than the educations offered by the University of Wisconsin in Madison and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which both tied UCSD at number 38. It is much cheaper than the $35,000 tuitions charged by Boston College and the University of Rochester, both private schools that tied just in front of UCSD in the U.S. News & World Report rankings.

If you are lucky enough to have smart, hardworking kids who are willing to stay close to home, UCSD will save you a ton of money while giving your kid a great education.
